Welcoming our visitors from Rotary International.

Last year our school was lucky enough to receive funding for our Chromebook programme from Rotary International. A couple of weeks ago some Rotary people visited Ohaeawai School to check that we have been doing good things with their money!! They came from places as far away as Hong Kong and the United States of America. We welcomed them with a powhiri and were so proud to have many students from Team Moana in the kapa haka group which performed for them. Freedom

gave an emotional welcoming speech which was very moving, and Cyprus led the haka. Here is a video of part of their performance. The location of the video camera was not ideal but I think that you will agree with me that it is very special.

  1. WOW that is spine tingling. I imagine your visitors from Rotary were highly impressed. Well done Cyprus and your Kapa Haka group for giving a true Ohaeawai welcome to your guests. A very special video indeed.
